I typically don’t hand out 5-star ratings, but this place deserves it for everything: ambiance, service, wait time, food, flavor, and value. It’s a newly renovated spot with new owners who clearly put in a lot of effort. The egg benedict was delicious and priced at $18, featuring salmon, mushrooms, and a good portion of potatoes. It’s a newly renovated spot with new owners who clearly put in a lot of effort. The egg benedict was delicious and priced at $18, featuring salmon, mushrooms, and a good portion of potatoes. It’s larger than the usual size 6 portions you often see. Usually, you’d expect to pay over $20 for something like this. The large latte, perfectly frothed, was just $4.50. Great job!
The restaurant features stunning architecture from a time when people were optimistic about a prosperous future. The café offered a delightful selection of hot cakes, which I thoroughly enjoyed in the lovely gardens.
The outdoor seating area is lovely, providing shelter from the rain and cold wind, which was perfect for us and our dog. I absolutely enjoyed the delicious coffee, and my dog appreciated the nice presentation! The staff were extremely friendly. I highly recommend stopping by for a break.
The staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. They roast their own coffee beans, which is a nice touch. I always stop by when passing through Oamaru. There’s plenty of parking available as well.
