What Anonym dislikes about Oeste:
Went there to brunch on Sunday, no warm welcome- no actual ask about our reservation. Just showed us to the table. Service was terrible, terrible. Food was not plated well, felt like I was at a diner vs. what the beautiful, surrounding atmosphere was like. I really wanted to like Oeste and to make Oeste my spot, they need to overcome some real challenges to make this happen. I View all feedback.
The ketchup seemed to be housemade and was delicious. However, the french fries were soggy and not good. I didnt finish them. The burger itself was good but not great.
The burger was delicious. I appreciated the large amount of fries, but the fries were too crispy and hard.
The atmosphere at Oeste Bar Cafe was fantastic, although it took a while to be seated. The server was wonderful, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The dishes were all overly salty, especially the wings, Korean-inspired Brussels sprouts, ceviche, and Caesar salad. The only edible item was the salad. The Brussels sprouts were too salty and the Korean-inspired sauce didn't seem authentic. The wings lacked flavor beyond spice and salt, while the ceviche was served in a red sauce. The outdoor patio was a nice spot, but it was not wheelchair accessible. The service from our waitstaff was timely, although it took a while to be acknowledged at the host desk. The drinks menu featured mostly sweet options, with a decent selection of bourbon for whiskey drinkers and only sweet house wines and bubbly. Overall, despite the hype, I may not return to Oeste Bar Cafe unless there's a special event that piques my interest.
The food was incredibly hit or miss for me. Loved the street tacos, but the burger was a little tough and the fries very meh. The plantains were good, but the amount of sauce you get didn’t meet the requirements for the amount of plantains you get. I got the Henny Espresso drink which was pretty solid, but was not impressed overall by the cocktail offerings. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
Made reservations for this place, we arrived early and they said they weren 't ready which is fine, the time for the reservation came and they still weren 't ready, we waited 30min plus on top of that. Poorly handled! No apologies, just here your seats! Extremely crowded which is expected at a bar but the layout of the tables just made it even worse. Food was appalling! The buns on the burgers tasted like they were 7days old, dry and just heated so it can be crispy . The plantains was a just a blob of sticky goo. The fries were so dry they resembled toothpicks. The chicken wings was also dry can even describe the disappointment, how can a place mess up something as simple as fries and chicken wings??? The only thing decent was the drinks, was pretty strong. Service was acceptable, it was so busy and packed, the servers did what they can. Toilets was kept decently clean but of course to get there through the unwilling to move crowd was another issue. Parking is hard to find which is expected but the double parking just outside was ridiculous. Once again understand it 's a bar but the music was overly loud and very limited food choices. They also slapping some credit card fee on the bill??? Not coming back here. So disappointing. Wasted hundreds of dollars here.
