The fresh spring rolls were fantastic, accompanied by a wonderful warm Thai peanut sauce. The pad see ew was packed with broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, and delectable extra-wide noodles. Although the Green Papaya salad was somewhat smaller, it was fresh and flavorful. View all feedback.
What Amani McDermott doesn't like about Neecha Thai:
Quite dissappointed with the quality of food. The curry potato puffs were tiny and not worth the price at all. The fresh rolls also fell apart as soon as you touched them and barely had any fillings other than spring mix that one would expect example vermicelli, tofu, avocado etc. View all feedback.
The food is always fresh and delicious. Garlic prawns, string beans with cashews, salads, curry puffs, and noodle dishes are some of our favorites. Servers are attentive and make sure every dish is to your liking. We spent Valentines Day here and was touched by the candles and flowers. We each got a rose at the end of the meal. It’s definitely one of our favorite Thai restaurants.
Had dinner before, this time lunch. the food was delicious again, with great value for lunch specialties.
I give neecha thai 4 stars mainly for eating. fine eating is not, but it is very tasty. it is a fairly small room, a bit crowded, with a fair amount of noise from the open kitchen. service could be more professional, i.e. attentive. my friend came before me and while water and menus were on the table, we had to ask her to take our order. we had set ourselves some time, and I even checked for our reservation 5 minutes early. the food arrived in time from there; we had an appetizer on spinach leaves with a lovely chutney that tasted by ingwer and perhaps tamarinde? my friend had the basil chicken and I had a salmon dish. both had delicious sauces and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. my salmon was a bit overcooked and dry, so good there was a lot of peanut curry sauce to spoon up. we split a chocolate lava cake with ice for dessert, as it was my friend's birthday, and they took an application to a birthday candle. but it was a bit over boiled and more smokey than lava-y. my friend said she saw it heated in the microwave. lava cake should always be baked to order as the overcooking is very easy, especially in the microwave where the dinge cook from inside. Overall, however, I would consider it a great place in the neighbourhood to get some delicious food with friendly service, and good portions. we were glad that the rest of the next day came home.
Love the diverse menu. Small and quaint. Conveniently located. Within walking distance to Lake Merritt and shopping.
The menu is really amazing and diverse, I wanted to try one of all!!! The dining room itself is really beautifully decorated and painted, a festive and sophisticated aesthetic. Our server was super friendly, knowledgeable and simply beautiful.
