We've been staying here for quite a while now, and I can confidently say that I really enjoy this place. The M Lounge is a particular highlight for me. Every time I visit, I’m greeted with bright smiles that instantly brighten my day. I want to give a special thanks to Grace, Ileen, Mel, Kabita, and Zaira. They are always thoughtful, supportive, and professional, and I am truly grateful for their kindness. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Level Two Oakland Marriot City Center:
Comfortable room, but VERY thin walls. Can hear every word coming from the room next door, and they don’t seem to be raising their voices. On site restaurant is very convenient, but a bit pricy $20 hamburger. View all feedback.
She was excellent, Zaria Kabita. Her service was executional and very helpful. This place never disappoints, this is the third time she has help us and always has been a very good experience. The area was clean
I stay at Marriott's and Hilton Hotels primarily when I travel for business. Generally, these both have excellent quality and service. I admit I was disappointed with the Oakland Marriott City Center. I was greeted promptly when I arrived and was given a room on the 9th floor. It was already late in the day, and I was tired after the flight from Chicago. I put down my bags and went into the bathroom to drop off my toiletries. It was then I noticed how dirty the bathroom was. If it had been cleaned, they didn't do a very good job. Unfortunately, this incident colored my view of the hotel from the start. It is well-appointed, and the public areas are very nice. The bed was comfortable. I didn't have a chance to use any of the facilities (restaurant, bar, health club, etc. . I'm sure, and if I did, I might have left feeling better about my stay. After returning home, I received a survey from Marriott about my stay. I was honest with them about my concerns. The next day, I got an email from the hotel's General Manager apologizing for my experience. My point in telling this story isn't to trash the hotel. What happened, happened. What I took away from this was the General Manager's response. Had she not done that, I would not consider returning. Given her apology and concern, I told her how much I appreciated her response and, if I were in Oakland, I would certainly give the hotel another chance.
Very nice hotel in downtown Oakland. The restaurant food was great as well as the staff. Manager is very caring and you can tell me is very proud to make sure your being taken care of. The ladies at the M Lounge, Kabita and Zaira and two other s, I apologize I didn't get their names, the morning shift beautiful elderly sweet lady and one more lady that works that shift, thank you for service with a smile. Rooms were comfortable and decor was chic. Next time I'm in Oakland this will be my home. Thank you for a great stay.

Associate Susy was fabulous at check-in. Fast and friendly. Great gym and comfortable beds with a great view of the bay! I've stayed at this property several times over the years and it is a consistent favorite.
