Hella Nuts - Oakland

The food was so tasty and is always made without soy! Having a soy allergy it has been hard to eat out at vegan places because soy is in everything! So happy to have found a place that is so delicious and love supporting the mother daughter duo!

Opened in 2019 by mother and daughter chefs, this place has a diverse organic menu of raw, home made cheezes and desserts, plus cooked home made veggie meats in burritos, wraps, tacos, pastas, and more. All take-out with option of a small outdoor seating area. Some items are available on certain days only, and others appear to always be on the menu. We tried the Hyphy Birria tacos which was really delicious, and the Big Birria Biif Burrito which was very good. Blueberry smoothie was super creamy and sweet. The storefront is not marked with obvious signage, and they keep a security gate pulled closed so it can look like it is closed, but the staff will come out to greet you when they see you at the door. They ship their prepared foods including their nut cheezes and meat nationwide. Main downside is some of the entrees are on the pricey side $20), but you're paying a premium for organic. We'll definitely be going back to sample more of the fun menu.

This mother daughter duo has the best recipes and make phenomenal food. We loved the vegan clam chowder bread bowl, Plant Boil, Lobstir Puff, and I Can't Believe It's Not Flesh sandwich. Everything were tried was extremely delicious flavors are incredible! Remember to place orders online

I finally had the pleasure of ordering from here driving through Oakland. The food is soy free and the philosophy is zero waste and seasonal food. You need to place your order online and specify pickup time. The food is so delicious and totally worth the wait! I was lucky enough to be traveling with coworkers that ordered food also. I got to try their food and mine. This place is a must. There is an outdoor seating area if you want to eat there.

The restaurant only accepts online orders for reserved pick-up times. The food is on the healthier side, which is a positive. I enjoyed the mushroom burger I ordered; the flavors were definitely present. My only issue was that I would have preferred a single patty rather than multiple pieces of mushroom.
