I ordered... read more I work in downtown Oakland about once a month and often look for a quick bite to eat. I recently discovered Delegates, and I will definitely be back. I ordered the avocado toast with over-easy eggs to take away, and they were remarkably fast. I arrived a few minutes before noon, and it only took about five minutes from placing my order to receiving it. I might have just missed the lunch rush, but still, that's impressive service! When I got back to the office, the eggs were still warm and perfectly runny when I took a bite. With friendly and efficient service and delicious avocado toast, I can't wait to return and try more items from the menu!

You can find burgers, salads, and breakfast favorites, all made fresh to order, with no microwaved or pre-packaged eggs in sight! Everything is cooked on a griddle using high-quality ingredients. I tried the breakfast wrap, filled with hash browns, avocado, eggs, and diced ham, though you can opt for veggies instead of meat if you like. It came with a delicious, mildly spicy salsa on the side.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient, and there’s an upstairs seating area. The menu is quite extensive, offering a variety of classic American dishes. I ordered the avocado toast with over-easy eggs to go, and I was really impressed by how fast they were. I arrived just a few minutes before noon, and it took about five minutes from placing my order to receiving it. I might have gotten lucky and avoided the lunch rush, but either way, the service was incredibly quick. When I got back to the office, the eggs were still warm, and they had the perfect runny texture when I dug in. With their friendly and efficient service, along with delicious avocado toast, I’m excited to try more items from their menu!

The BBQ burger was huge and incredibly satisfying—so much so that adding a side of fries proved to be too much food to handle in one sitting.

I ordered the avocado t... read more I work in downtown Oakland about once a month and usually have to catch something fast. I recently discovered Delegate and will be back. I ordered the avocado toast to go with simple eggs and they were FAST. I have there a few minutes before 12 and between my order and my order, it probably took five minutes. I must have beaten the lunch break, but this is a quick service. When I brought it back to the office, the eggs were still heated, but at the moment I ate them perfectly runny. Friendly and efficient service combined with a large avocado toast. I will be back to try the other items in the menu!
