Dave's Hot Chicken - Oakland

Mac and cheese was exactly what i was craving, very tender noodles and good sauce. mild tender has the slightest kick to it which i really enjoyed. also the pickles are heaven sent fr <3 love you dave

Hot Boys is way better weak heat level, soggy fries, flat flavor profile, small portions. Place is mid.

Got Daves #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries . opted for slaw instead of fries. selected medium and hot sliders. chicken was slightly overcooked. I found the spices in the food a bit boring. the hot spice was tepid at best. the medium was nearly southern fried heat. appropriately salty, more than anything. slaw was okay. overall, was not bad, but not great by any means.

As a recently added restaurant I was excited to try Daves. However the presentation and taste has put me off the sandwiches arrived in the box super messy with most of the toppings having already fallen off, I ordered the reaper and was excited to see how spicy it was but it looked so unappetizing in the box it was a big turn off. The fries were soggy frozen Krinkle cut which arent bad but definitely expensive for frozen fries. Overall the sandwiches were small the combos were expensive for what you get, and boring.

Food was okay but I was extremely disappointed by how my sandwich was put together, the absolute bare minimum of slaw (which is my favorite part). Maybe in store is better? Dont want to order online again though
