love this spot, have gone twice now, Staff are very patient and understanding, small space but very cozy. food for there or to go, great prices and good variety : Vegetarian options: they have vegetarian soups (I've had the mushroom and broccoli cheddar, both amazing and vegetarian sandwiches, their options are on the menu board to the right View all feedback.
What Rainer Neumann doesn't like about Caffe Teatro Oakland:
First time visiting I felt like I was instantly… judged. Not a big deal but still interesting and I get it. The area you guys run your business. However it should be more welcoming to someone like myself. Now the pastry I ordered I do wish I was offered to have it warmed up. The apple cider however was fantastic, I would just say the customer experience could be better. Especially for first time customers. View all feedback.
Love this place! Small, but rocky. Great service and friendly staff. Definitley recommend!
A downtown coffee shop mainstay. Great coffee to be enjoyed in store or in the rotunda to soak in some ambiance. There are soups, salads, and sandwiches all worth trying. Great for conversations and/or a quick bite.
During my first visit, I sensed a bit of judgment right away. It wasn't a huge issue, but it was noticeable, and I understand the vibe of the place. The environment should be more welcoming for someone like me. I ordered a pastry, and I wish they had offered to warm it up for me. The apple wine, however, was fantastic! Overall, I think the customer experience could be improved, especially for first-time visitors.
The service has consistently been disappointing. It's overpriced and incredibly slow. I've noticed people leaving instead of waiting. I would rather walk two blocks to another café than start my morning here.
