I didn't have a good authentic Haitian food forever and I'm so glad I found this place. I ordered the stew chicken, grotte, and both rice and bean sauce were all delicious!!! Definitely I order again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about M&s Best Tropical:
As you should already know, the customer service at a Haitian restaurant is not the best but the food is good. They are simply just too busy taking phone orders. They didn?t have Tassot Turkey nor Goat so they serve beef which was ok. The food was good, I want lie but I?ve had better. The fried plantains were too crunchy so all they did was hurt my gums. I probably won?t come back as there are better Haitian spots to... View all feedback.

The fried beef and the leg were soooo good! The rice was cooked perfectly! The service was great when I was visited as soon as I went through the door, although they were busy!
I am actually in this restaurant the foods from there are really delicious, but the only thing they need to improve is the cause of packaging, no matter how cautious I wear the bags my sauces are always spilled please come with something better to serve the sauce.
Always delicious food with generous portions. I ordered Legume, and it came with rice, beans and plantains. Recently I ordered to take from them after 7 p.m., and the food was still fresh to the eye, to the smell and to the taste. The food is in place! What surprises me is their conscious focus on big customer service. When I came to this facility with Caribbean cuisine, Jay warmly welcomed me and made sure I was satisfied. He admitted they had to change the rice type. I would expect this from a popular place with great food. If you're hungry, make your belly happy in this place! Your menu is in two languages. You have a spacious dune in the area or you can order.
For the most part I am pretty picky about Haitian Food... and just going out to eat at Haitian restaurants in general. My main frustration is... either the food is good but the service is horrible, the service is great but the food is meh... or if the place has ok service and decent food.. they never have most items on their menu available... With this in mind I've all but given up trying to find a place i love (after some of my favorite places closed) while also being confident that it is a place i can refer ppl to.... that is until today! The food at M&S is great! tastes just like the home cooking I got as a child. The staff is friendly and amazing. The have plenty of room to sit down to eat, as well as take out option. You can even find them on GRUBHUB. We got the griot, oxtail, chicken is sauce/stew chicken, Legume , and the griot. Everything tasted great! I loved the bean sauce provided for the rice... and the pikliz was on point! If you are ever in the East Oakland/ ft laud area I highly recommend as they know what they are doing.
