Meal In A Pie - Oakland Park

If you’re in the area, this place is a must try! The pies were hot and full of flavor. The filo dough that surrounded the deliciousness was flaky and will leave you wanting to come back for another bite. don’t forget to add a little side of their freshly made chutney. The gentleman at the counter was more than nice. I highly recommend that you run, don’t walk, to get a meal in a pie!!

I highly recommend this spot, especially if you're looking for authentic South African fare. The flavors are spot on, the selection is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Try the pies, try the biltong, try it all. It's great!

Wow they know how to make a good meat pie! I had the lamb pasty very delicious on every level. They have lots packed in a relatively small shop, I wish I could try it all! A few South African drinks to choose from in the fridge as well. I’ll be back to try the other pies and sausage roll!

This was my first time visiting Meal in a Pie and it was a wonderful experience! The girl behind the counter was more than happy to answer all of my questions and make some delicious recommendations. I got a few different meat pies to-go (my favorite was the steak and kidney! and I loved how buttery and flaky the crust was! I also got some candy treats and a few pantry items. Can't wait to go back and sample more items!
