Carnivore - Oak Park

Great shop for fresh locally sourced meats in the village. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They scored my duck breast for me to get the right crispness.

This place is surprisingly fantastic! I never would have thought that a butcher shop could offer such delicious food. The quality is exceptional—it's like dining at a fancy restaurant, but at half the price. Everything I've tried has been wonderful. I highly recommend the salmon sandwich, the steak, and any of the sides, especially the potatoes. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I haven’t purchased much from the meat and seafood counters since they can be a bit pricey, but the quality of what I have bought is excellent and locally sourced.

I would like to give a special mention to Carnivore. The food is outstanding, and they went above and beyond to help me when I accidentally selected the wrong delivery date. As soon as I realized my mistake and called them, they quickly made arrangements for me with very little notice. The food is delicious, and the staff are fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

Good food, good meat, good god get in here! The product is beyond reproach and the people make it all work. Need a classic? The rib eye, the strip, the porterhouse are there in first class examples if you get there in time. Want to experiment? Ask for a recommendation and come home with some tri tip, a flat iron or some bavette. Do not forget the fish the Skuna Bay salmon is fantastic.

Many thanks to Mike and the good folks at Carnivore for another beautiful rib primal, this one to be dry-aged for 70 days (hopefully)! There's no other team in Chicago-land that I'd trust as much as Carnivore to bring such top-notch beef. Thanks guys, stay safe and healthy. Me and this rib will see you in a few weeks.
