Food was just ok. Service was terrible. The server dropped off our food and never came back. My soda was 3/4 empty, so I placed it at the edge of the table. Our server and several others walked by and never asked if I needed another. When we were through eating and both glasses were empty, we stacked the plates and placed them at the edge of the table. This has quickly become our favorite Mexican restaurant in Oak Harbor. The food is solid, classic Mexican cuisine. Everything is fresh, the chicken in the enchiladas is juicy, and the chips and salsa are both fresh and delicious. I decided to try something different and ordered fried jalapeños as an appetizer, and they were fantastic—plus, you get four big ones for a very reasonable price. The service is consistently friendly, and they even recognize us now, despite the fact that we don’t dine out very often. The staff always has a smile and seems genuinely happy to be there. They are also very kind about my poor pronunciation of "gracias," responding with cheerful "de nada." What more could you ask for?
