We ordered our standard starter miso soup, edama... read more We came here with high expectations since we remember this place from years back, even before their renovation. We ordered our standard starter miso soup, edamame and tempura mix. While the soup was tasteful (yes you can mess up this dish too.. the batter of the tempura was doughy and tasted greasy. The edamame was a pretty small portion, were served on a plate thus they got cold instantly. The Hoso tuna pikant was not spicy tuna , but somewhat boring. The Ura eel roll had lots of rice and little fish to it. At least the the nigiri of tuna, yellow tail and salmon were fresh but tiny for the price. The waitress was attentive at the beginning and offered an English menu but forgot to bring me my second beer later. Their ordering system is a check-off sheet that the guest fills in, at least this avoids the potential misunderstandings. We paid 75 € for a basic sushi dinner with mixed quality, so I award 2 stars. The search for really good sushi in Nuremberg will have to continue for us...

We ordered the salmon skin sushi, the Japanese pumpkin sushi (which tastes nothing like the pumpkin found in the West), the ikura sushi, the eel sushi, the spinach salad (which came with an outstanding sesame dressing) and the bean sprout salad. All were excellent, fresh and good tasting. The service was friendly, helpful and prompt. This is a good place.

We came as a... read more I was just a little shocked that Nagoya has now become Yihu, but that was fast. The sushi is still the same and as always very delicious and fresh. We came as a customer outside the opening hours, while the operator family just took a break on the terrace. We spared that we were still served and even got a piece of melon from the family table as a dessert for free. Great service, good food (also the new offers are great! and beautiful atmosphere! Stay one of my favorite restaurants in Nuremberg!
