It was a... read more We happened upon this restaurant while walking around town and initially thought it was great because it has a beautiful beer garden next to the river. It was a great spot for an afternoon beer. However, we thought we would go for dinner that same trip and I called to make reservations since we have a party of eight. The person that answered the phone told me that they do not take reservations in the beer garden so there might be a wait if they are busy. This was fine so we headed out on the 20 minuted hike from our hotel. Upon arrival, there were several large tables available so we took a seat only to be immediately told that it was reserved (no sign on the table). We went to sit at another table and were told the same thing. When we told them that we tried to make a reservation and were told they did not take them, they just shrugged their shoulders. There were plenty of available seats but my husband suspected they did not have enough staff. Regardless, it was a rude interaction and ticked me off due to the contradiction. For additional clarification, both my husband and I speak German so there was no issue with translation. Fortunately, it was on our trek back to the hotel that we came across a little gem of a small restaurant so that is the one we will be visiting again in the future, not this restaurant.
