Today was my first time at the Katzentempel and my friend and I had a great time. The coconut curry was amazing, the prices are totally reasonable considering it's vegan, local, etc and they offer discounts for students (you don't even have to be a student in Germany). Katzentempel (cat temple) is exactly the reason that vegetarians and vegans can’t convince meat-eaters to change sides. The food is dull, tasteless and badly cooked. We eat vegan/vegetarian 2-3 times a week, and Katzentempel is the worst restaurant we’ve visited so far. The caffe was nicely decorated, the service was friendly and the coffee was good. the prizes were a bit high and there were too little bits there. the caffe has space for 30-40 guests and leads 5 cats, of which three were in their retreat, one was drawn back to a regal and only one was round. the dream of a tasty kitten on his lap while you can't realize his coffee genest.
We were here at midday. the caffe was well filled but had previously reserved by phone. we would be greeted and felt comfortable here!Some rules are to be followed, but it makes all sense and it's nice that the people hold on.6 there are cats here. they have a retreat. it does not smell like cats and it was very clean. the egg cakes and potato columns were very delicious! we are coming back
The staff very friendly,speissekarte is a little thirsty,sweet speissen were delicious,for a cattiful too little cat.
We have never felt really welcome! already at the door was made clear to us by the chef that it can't be that we have reserved by phone at noon. he immediately made us realize that he could make a table for us (similarly). the food was passable, the service underground. when it went so slowly to 20 h, the service developed a strange hectic (driven by the chef) by 20 h is closed. not the kitchen, no, the local. on a Friday night. in the Nürnberger city!! we could not order any more dessert at 19:50, the tellers were cleared away, although some were not finished, the bill came, although we still ate, main thing that manschaft could make at 20 h closing, on a Friday evening. we were there twice, the first and last time.
On a very hot day it was lovely to sit with a cool drink in very comfortable surroundings with a family of well cared for and friendly cats who will come and visit your table to check you out!The staff here are friendly too and there is a really good atmosphere.Good choice of food and drink, beer is refreshing and non alcoholic and the cakes look gorgeous.It is such a unique place to visit in Nuremberg, don't miss it if you love cats!
