We went here due to the history and ratings on the restaurant . I am glad we dod as it was excellent. I had the Gazpacho Andalucia soup which was excellent, and a small 1905 salad which was very good. I ordered the Paella a la Valenciana which was excellent. Was too full for dessert ? What Joe B doesn't like about Columbia:
Been here many times for dining in and its wonderful. However we ordered once for take out and it was disappointing. Same menu, same prices however the portions are not the same. Ordered bowls of soup and they were cup sizes. Ordered large 1905 salad and it wasn't a large. Also very poor communication. They said 10-15 minutes. We showed up in 15 minutes. Then sais another 5. we waited another 5. then said just a coup... View all feedback.
Simply the best dining experience we've had anywhere in a long time. Impeccable service. A menu that had so many intriguing choices that it was hard to make a decision... and well prepared, delicious food that fulfilled that promise. The best Sangria this side of the Atlantic. And a charming, old-world atmosphere. Make a reservation ahead of time. If you're in Tampa you don't want to miss it.
Tons of different Spanish and Cuban dishes, and the interior feels super immersive. Service was top notch. Paella had good flavor, but I wish there was more rice, parsley instead of peas, and fattier (chorizo) instead of lean pork. Also it had less shellfish than I expected.
The oldest restaurant in Florida! Pretty cool on that point alone. Make reservations or you either will wait 30-45 minutes or get turned away at the door. I watched first hand how they literally just don't have enough staff since the pandemic to pack the place to full capacity. 1901 salad is a must. Cuban sandwich was second only to Versailles in Miami. Paella is excellent and worth the wait. Bread Pudding OMG phenomenal. Enjoy! and certainly enjoy the scenery, the place is pretty stunning.
This was a simply outstanding dining experience. Food and service was impeccable. We had the Cuban sandwich with the 1905 salad, Palomilla steak sandwich and the Pollo Manchego finishing with a lemon coconut cake with ice cream. Our server Enarxis F was so courteous and professional, explained a brief history of the building. He truly enhanced our dining. Haven’t seen this service in decades . Kudos to Enarxis!! , Thank you.
Food is really good. Muscles are amazing. Service is ok. We ordered tapas and entrees. The appetizer dishes never were cleared off the table and the tables are kind of small so that sucked. For the price of the food my expectation is a little higher.
