Murilo Lounge - Novato
Murilo Lounge
Description
Perched near SFO with sweeping runway views, this stylish spot pairs attentive service and a lively atmosphere with a solid bar and standout desserts. The menu is compact and inconsistent—some dishes impress while others arrive dry or overcooked—and prices skew high for largely pre-made offerings. Outdoor seating and a roomy interior enhance the experience, but draft beer choices are limited. Ideal for travelers, families watching planes, and dessert lovers seeking a comfortable pre-flight stop.
Feedback
The food was surprisingly excellent, and the service during our visit was very attentive. The drinks were solid as well. I liked the building's exterior, but it seemed like they didn't have their own outdoor seating area during our visit. Because of this, I regrettably can't give it a five-star rating.
I visited this place for drinks and was impressed by the lovely atmosphere, great music, and attentive servers! The outdoor seating is fantastic, and the interior is quite spacious. I can't wait to return for dinner soon!
The new property rights at Flights really make a difference. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is excellent. Braham took great care of us after a long day at work.
I like that there's a dining option not far from SFO that doesn't cost the proverbial arm and a leg while being comfortable enough to hang out in. The one disappointment as far as I was concerned is the lack of draft beer options if you're going to consider yourself classy, you need something better than Sierra Nevada (which for being a macrobrew, isn't the worst). If you're in the area the night before a flight to the East Coast, this will get you on your way to having a good sleep.
This spot has been a recent favorite for one simple reason; we can view planes taking off and landing at SFO. A thing that kiddos will enjoy, plus some quick bites, a drink or a dessert would never hurt! This place has an awesome bar with a large selection of drinks. For food they have pizzas, Mezze, salads, entrees, sides and dessert. However, they DO NOT make most things from scratch. The wood fired pizza is actually the one from the frozen aisle at the store. And so is most of the other stuff. It is insane they charge $20~$25 for these frozen pizzas! Last couple times we got the fries, chips and guac, their chocolate cake that I no longer see on the menu when I last went and the triple mousse trio. The food is okay but the desserts are actually amazing. They also serve a limited selection of Humphry Slocomb's ice creams. Always great to find them on any menu! They have great decor, friendly servers and definitely one of the most breathtaking views of the airport. Would definitely return to watch the planes and for their desserts.
