My husband and I visited this restaurant many times while we were visiting NOVA SIRI Italy in September. The food is amazing. The selection is extensive and the portions generous. We even had a couple of dishes custom made for us. The owner and staff aim to please. Stop by and check it out for your self. We will definitely go back. Mrs. B View all feedback.
Every time we come to southern Italy we stop at this restaurant for the past 20 years. Always great fresh seafood and exceptional service, not common in south, you need to stop here!!!!!
This is a place for seafood. they do a terrific job and everything is always fresh and delicious. I have not been able to find a better place in Nova Siri for seafood. The owner Giuseppe (aka. Pino) is a kick. Always running around and taking orders and special care of everyone. The bread is quite good, and Pino said it is made in the kitchen everyday. There are always many locals here and THEY KNOW where the best seafood is. You only need to come here one time and you will return again and again!
My wife and I had lunch here and thought the food was excellent. I had Polipo al Forno (absolutely 100% delicious), followed by Orata al Sale which Pino fillet at the table. The wine was Taverno Greco made by Pasquale Lunati and it was delicious, too. I have eaten here before and the seafood is fresh and delicious. My favorite place in Novo Siri. Pino loves his ristorante and you can tell by the way he acts and treats people..a very enthusiastic guy!!
Visiting near the end of the season everything else was very quite or closed in Nova Siri. Hence, my wife and I were recommended to try Al Torchio by a staff member at our holiday resort. We dined here twice. Choosing on the first occasion from the a la cart menu with a shared seafood platter to begin nothing exceptional. I then tried the shrimp curry – more of a risotto prepared with Indian wild rice, apple and shrimp with just a taste of curry. In all quite a soothing and likeable dish definitely not the typical curry to be found in UK or India. My wife took the pork chop with a green salad; the chop was grilled and tasted well. The meal with wine cost Euro 38.50 On the second occasion we tried the house specialty, a medley of seafood comprising roughly 12 courses. Some of which were repetitive. The food was good and we thought marginally over priced at Euro 60 for 2 persons including half a carafe of house wine with grappa to finish. The service was quick and the waiters; well they were very friendly in a way only Italians can be!!
Drive by this restaurant at lunch or dinner time, and notice that it is the busiest place in town. There is a reason. Good food. Decent prices. Helpful staff. Note that at lunch there is no pizza available. Not a problem; all their pastas are very fresh and delicious.
