What Anonym dislikes about Paste:
After many visits I would Paste is one best places to visit if you want restaurant quality Thai food. It’s really hard to choose a favourite dish. I will say my latest dish was the roast duck with garlic fried rice. It was really juicy and great tasting duck. You have a good options of drinks too from Cha yen (Thai milk tea) to wines. The safe are very welcoming and happy to help with any inquiries. And finally i lov... View all feedback.

Delicious Thai food at really good prices. Staff were very attentive. Delicious cocktails and excellent range of food and drink.
Hi and thanks for having us at paste we were very happy with the service and taken to our seats straight away as we didn’t book before so it was a walk in . No problems at all served fast and the food was great , the Thai green curry was plentiful and quite spicy too which I really liked , it was served hot and came out pretty quick we really enjoyed our food . I would definitely return and try out other foods . We did have a starter come out with the mains and they were the spring rolls with sweet chilli dip they were really nice too
As you will see from my photo, this is not Pad krapow moo sap kai dow. I've been married to a Thai for the last 14 years. I've visited Thailand many times and never in my experience have I ever been served a meal like this. Pad krapow does not have big chunks of onion, courgette and green/red bell peppers in it. This was served in a bowl full of gravy with what looked more like chicken, not pork and also looked under cooked. I asked for extra spicy and also some prik nam pla. Basmati rice, not Thai Hom Mali (Jasmine). There was no spiciness to it, it was bland. I also ordered this in Thai so that they knew I liked extra spicy. The starter of Tod mun pla was soggy and greasy. Shame on you trying to serve me food like this when I am well aware what true authentic Thai food is. I found this experience an insult. I said nothing to the staff as I am aware of the losing face situation and respected that. I will never return to this establishment and I will spread the word around those that I know. Both Thai Farang.
Very average food. Oily, over cooked, uni taste food. If this is authentic I'll.take Thailand off my visit list. Over cooked everything. Monosodium Sauces and masses of.uncooked.peppers.

Incredibly authentic Thai food is best. I and my partner, who lived in Nottingham, were looking for bubbles. she saw this new restaurant in hockley and we tried to drink the blase tee, also really good and fresh. we didn't want to eat, but we talked to rocky and wichai on site. spectacular service. we were often in Thailand and wanted to find a good Thai restaurant in nottingham. that's it. I ordered green Thai curry that discovered the sauce next to satay chicken kewers and blackberry. all amazing and authentic taste. can't be guilty. price point also good. recommend this place for everything a restaurant should offer
Again...complete eating, delicious and tasteful. my third time here today celebrate my birthday. the personal is so attentive and friendly. best restaurant in nottingham.
Food is absolutely delicious and the lady who served me was very polite. All members of the team were friendly.
A lovely Saturday lunch . The staff were very friendly and helpful. we had main courses and a cocktail. Food arrived in good time. Fresh and tasty I would definitely recommend

Visited Paste with friends whilst on a weekend away in Nottingham. It was nice and straightforward to book a table and the restaurant is in a good central location. The food comes out quickly but in terms of taste/ flavour it’s very average. I had the thai green curry which was described as ‘hot’ in terms of spice level, but it really wasn’t and was actually quite bland. ‘Thai style chips’ were also not what I had expected, they were just some chips with what could be compared to peri salt sprinkled on top. The service was fine and the restaurant itself was nice and clean. Just the food that is a bit underwhelming.
Really central and a lovely independent restaurant with authentic Thai dishes, beautifully cooked and presented. Venture beyond all the chains, you will not regret it.
I recently dined at this restaurant with friends for the first time before a show. The dining room was nice, the service was efficient and friendly, and the food was excellent.
Went for lunch and were the first to be seated. Around 10 minutes later other diners came, communicating in their first language with staff. We were sat waiting to order, no one came back. A young man came to ask if we wanted drinks, we said no and wanted to order food. He just left and didn't take our order as it wasn't his job. Sat there watching staff standing at the juice bar. Then the two diners who arrived after 10 minutes after is were served their food. All still while our order wasn't taken. We were contemplating leaving. A lady sent food back and new food was prepared before our order was even taken. The second time I've been to paste and I felt discriminated against on this occasion. People of the same nationality were served first. One diner finished their meal and we hadn't even had our order. I won't be going back. Shame the foods nice. Cheeky they included a tip on the bill, when we had extremely poor and bad service.
I took my family, who were visiting from Birmingham, to one of our favorite restaurants in Nottingham City. We can honestly say that we have never had any issues with the food or service. The staff are always friendly and the food is very authentic. In my opinion, the cuisine leans more towards Vietnamese than Thai. I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the center of Nottingham.
