On the morning we were leaving, we ran here to stop up on cookies for the flight home. Everything were wonderful.

When I passed by in the late afternoon, it was clear that this was a morning place the sign of a good bakery. I came back early on a Saturday to find a full array of deliciousness awaiting me behind the counter. In addition to bread, they make small pizzas, scaccias and sfinciones the latter two of which are, for the initiated, basically variations on the theme of bread with vegetables and possibly cheese. Don’t miss them!

The baroque stone everywhere was a bit overwhelming, we needed to escape for a light lunch and luckily we spotted a sign to the Panificio on the main corso. The pastries/pizzas were very good and an almond cake was yummy too. There was lots of bread on display which we 'd like to have tasted too, but the shop was closed when we passed by later in the afternoon. Maybe another time, if we ever return to Noto...
