Since this place specializes in burgers, I was expecting them to be freshly made on-site. When I requested my burger to be medium-rare, I was informed that it wasn't possible. The burger itself was alright, but it was a bit dry, and to be honest, I was hoping for a better experience.

The burgers were far superior to those from any chain restaurant and were cooked to our specifications. The portions were generous, and there was an excellent selection of beers. Plus, the music was enjoyable! The service was prompt and attentive, and I will definitely return the next time I'm in Norwich. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

The food is American themed burge... read more Zaks has been a name you can trust in Norwich for many years ever since the caravan that was located on the old Castle Meadow! The food is American themed burgers, ribs, fries and the desserts are huge knickerbocker glory, ice cream sundaes and chocolate brownies to die for! Very family friendly and at a good price. They are just starting to offer loyalty incentives too, and if you have a spree book you can pick up buy one get one free which really does make a difference to the bill! Their milkshakes are awesome but expensive, but in general they offer good value for money. The restaurant is often packed and sometimes staff are pushed, but all do their best. My only criticism would be the parking since they have built new houses nearby, parking is even more limited, and you need to be careful!

Our server was fantastic, regularly checking in for drink refills and keeping us informed about our food order. There was also some friendly banter from the waitstaff, which added to the overall good vibe of the place. While it may not be the ideal spot for a romantic date, it’s perfect for a casual meal or a family outing. We tipped generously, felt motivated to leave a review card at the restaurant, and left feeling very satisfied.

This is a re... read more This is a lovely American style resturant that offers all american style food such as burgers, fries, milkshakes and a great selection of starters. This is a reasonable priced resturant that has very good service and waiting times. Staff here are always welcoming and helpful whilst taking orders or offering suggestions and advice on meals. It seems a happy place and suited for all people but when I have been in here the music has seemed a little bit loud for my liking.
