The renovated Eagle pub provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with attentive, friendly staff. The menu, while minimalist, offers delicious food and generous portions, with one minor gluten-free dessert option. The staff, including standout server Emily, were proactive and accommodating. Whether enjoying a roast dinner, a burger, a roast beef, or a fish and chips, the food is consistently tasty and well-prepared. The outdoor garden and newly refurbished indoor seating make for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, this Norwich pub is a must-visit for both locals and visitors alike.
I love to go to the eagle. the eating here is fantastic, especially the roast on a Sunday (will need the recipe) the workers are warm and welcoming and they can bring their dog here too. herr darcy loves his trips to the adler, he is still to taste some food from the Doggy menu: I 100% recommend this pub for anyone who has a great lunch at a reasonable price or just a place to have a few drinks.
I met some friends here for lunch. it was still quite early so that not too busy(which was nicer to chat) although began to fill as it got later. we all had “small plates” food from the lunch menu. my creamy garlic mushrooms on sourded and the others had halloumi salat with chili, and whitebait with butterbrot. all were delicious the decor and the environment are stylish and comfortable in dark blue/grays. a great place to visit...I will return definitiw.
With friends for lunch, was nice fresh homemade local cuisine, reasonable price, friendly staff, sat in konservertory was very nice and peaceful, would warmly recommend a visit.
We were there for a wake following a relative's funeral. The food was nice but for £640 it felt VERY expensive. Some of this may have been for the hire of a room but even so there were only plates of sandwiches, cheese sticks, sausage rolls and cake and only 50 I would say were being catered for and so something like £13 per head! I would suggest looking around elsewhere. Parking was also tricky.
We were in need of somewhere for some last minute dinner on a Saturday evening, and stumbled upon this place on google. When we arrived we were happily accommodated for. The service was good, the food however, was another level. I did not expect such a high standard of food! The pork belly was to die for. Cooked perfectly. The chicken supreme, bread and butter pudding, also great. Great value for money too. We have recommended The Eagle to family and friends too!
