We stopped in for a nosh and a drink. Delicious mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. Such welcoming and friendly service! No frills- cute little back deck on the canal.
Went for lunch yesterday. Ordered Little Neck Clams. The clams were full of sand and way overcooked. This is supposed to be a seafood themed restaurant, so they should know to purge the clams before cooking. In this case, the clams must have been frozen. That was probably why they were like chewing gum. I have Ulcerative Colitis, and today I have diarrhea from the irritation caused by the sand. If you have IBD or digestive issues, avoid the clams. Dietary restrictions: Avoid the clams.
I had the pleasure to pop in with my girl and grab a lovely lunch yesterday here. The server was very polite, and the service was stellar! It was not busy at all, so our food came out quickly (maybe less than ten minutes after ordering , and the ambiance of the back deck overlooking the creek channels that empty into Cayuga Lake was amazing with watching boats, the water, wildlife, and the buzz of Ithaca. The food was very good, the calamari appetizer was extremely tasty, with the breading coming out perfectly with the squid. I got the breaded scallops plate, and my girlfriend got the breaded shrimp. Both were lovely, with each of us sharing bits of our entrees to try out the other’s. My breaded scallops were delicious, not dry whatsoever, still moist and paired well with the breading. My girl enjoyed the shrimps, as did the ones I got to enjoy from her plate. Will definitely return, it is a lovely seafood spot on the water : Parking: There is parking in front of the restaurant on the road, but that seems to fill quickly and is difficult to swing in. However, there are Two Hour Parking spots next to the restaurant in the marina offices that is meant for any parking, not if you only had business at the marina office.
Stopped for lunch. We ordered iced tea and it tasted soapy/stale. The waitress replaced it and comped us two cokes. We ordered fried clams and scallops- they were tasty but portions were small. A side of Cole slaw was served in a small plastic cup and was literally two bites. We ate on the dog friendly rear deck overlooking the canal (we had our dog with us) and they were very dog friendly. Things (carpet, etc) were a little shabby. Overall gave the impression of a place that is past its prime. It’s also pricey for what you get. Parking: Street parking in front of the restaurant.
