Excellent food, homemade gravy, perfectly cooked lamb little bit pink, tender chicken cooked on the bone. Great service and a little boxed orchid gift for Mother's Day View all feedback.
What Christine B doesn't like about The Ship Wylam:
Such a contrast from our last visit here a few months ago when I had the best fish and chips ever and my husband had a delicious cheese soufflé Tonight our food was extremely disappointing -it was obvious that there was no cooking involved View all feedback.
My wife and I had Sunday lunch very good quality and service. Ok it’s a pub essentially but a good one . The staff are friendly and polite. It’s clean and hood parking facilities. Would I go back: YES it’s worth a visit. Nice drive from South Tyneside nice area.
Thought I would try here since new owners took over and brilliant. Very polite and friendly Scottish guy behind bar. Nice service, great food, couldn't eat all of mine but well worth it.
We stayed at on our walk across Hadrian’s Wall and this place was ver clean, and the staff was delightful. Above all, the food and beer was excellent. Highly recommend.
This pub is incredibly warm and cozy. The staff is very friendly and talkative, making us feel right at home. The food is exceptional, surpassing what you would typically expect from a regular pub. We plan on returning regularly.
I visited this restaurant for an early dinner on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I was expecting average pub fare, but instead found a gem. The homemade bread, cheese souffle, and creme brulee were all delicious and clearly made with care by a skilled chef. It was refreshing to find a pub in Northumberland with such high-quality food, as I have only found seven other worthwhile places to eat in the area. I look forward to returning to this restaurant in the future.
