a walk around the delaval hall and seaton sluice, here for a pint and tried the chicken sandwich. wow! one of the best I tried. really good and tasty, with a very nice pint fosters wash down. the other meals that came from the kitchen looked good. pleasant friendly staff, in a traditional firm operation. give the place a try, they decide. I have been to this restaurant several times and have always enjoyed a good meal. However, today on the 13th of October, we waited over 45 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, it was disappointing. I ordered the steak and ale pie, but it lacked the taste of ale, had hardly any gravy, and the steak was tough like shoe leather.
