Some of the best food we’ve eaten. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay. The beetroot and goats cheese pannacotta is one of the best starters we’ve had, it was so tasty. Everything is so well presented. The staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We had the suggested wine choice for the main course both nights and were not disappointed. I definitely recommend this restaurant... View all feedback.
What sethgold doesn't like about Langley Castle:
A beautiful space with an attentive staff, but the food did not live up to the expectation and cost. It wasn’t bad, it was just average, and the drinks were watery. View all feedback.
We stopped by for a casual lunch and both ordered the steak sandwich, which was served with salad and vegetable crisps. It was absolutely delicious. I am gluten-free, so mine came on soft and tasty gluten-free rolls. The sandwich had plenty of steak and a lovely mayo sauce.
The restaurant was quiet and lacked atmosphere. We were seated in a small alcove with a view of a dirty window. The staff was attentive but we felt rushed at times due to the lack of customers. The menu had good choices and the food quality, particularly the starter and main course, was excellent. However, the prices did not reflect good value for money. We came for a special occasion but left slightly disappointed, despite being treated to a decorated plate with chocolates at the end. The additional service charge was too high.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Langley Castle, staying in the Cadwallader room. The room was beautiful, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The drawing room was cozy and inviting. The staff, especially Chloe, went above and beyond to make our stay special. She served us our evening meal and breakfast, and then led us on a complimentary tour of the battlements. Chloe was knowledgeable about the castle's history and had a friendly demeanor. Despite being only 19 years old, she did an incredible job. The food was exceptional, and we have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. We left feeling relaxed and already looking forward to our next visit.
Had a lovely meal here with the wife for our anniverassry a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed the setting and staff were really friendly.
Went for afternoon tea to mark a 70th birthday and had such an amazing time! The staff were very friendly, quick and helpful especially when we brought up an allergy within the party, the waitress was very quick to help us choose an alternative which we were extremely thankful for. The food came quickly and it was presented amazingly. This was the 2nd time we have been for afternoon tea and this time was even better than the first time! We will definitely be returning soon!!
