We called in for tea and cake after a day of sightseeing. I had the orange and chocolate cake, which was a lovely combination with the added bonus of a slice of chocolate orange on the top. The tea was in a lovely glass...teapot, great to judge when to pour it. My husband had a warm fruit scone and said it was the best he's had even better than the ones at National Trust tea shops, which is high praise indeed. Lovely... View all feedback.
What chippybuttons doesn't like about Ford Village Shop And Post Office Tea Room:
Rude staff. Two ladies sat chatting at one of the tables as I walked in. I said hello and both chose to ignore my greeting. No one was in the shop or tearoom. The eldest of the ladies got up and started busying herself tidying stock. I stood at the counter to purchase tray bakes on offer. They both again chose to ignore me! What a shame as Ford is beautiful View all feedback.

Lovely setting, too cold for us to sit outside but we hope to do that next time.
We popped in for tea and coffee, but the tea room was full. Instead we had coffee and ice cream to go. The chocolate ice cream was amazing and the coffee excellent. Next time we'll make it for afternoon tea.
We ordered a bacon butty with crispy bacon, a scone with jam and cream, and two teas... all of it was perfect! Staff were friendly too and keen to get everything just right for us. Highly recommended.
The Village Shop and Post Office in Ford village is undoubtedly a photogenic spot. It is also a tearoom but, as we only bought some very good ice cream, I cannot comment on their further services. Situated in the beautiful little hamlet of Ford it...is well worth a visit.
Bought cheese scones to take away wasn't very impressed rather expensive? Only a few visitors in the cafe, hopefully they enjoyed their food.
