What ChiefyChuckles likes about Cresswell Arms:
Friendly pub with friendly customers. Dog friendly (on a lead). Theakston's Best Bitter was good, but only has the standard keg ales and lagers. Does pizza to eat in or takeaway. Nice to sit outside on the pavement in the sun, but could do with a proper outside area. Helps if you support The Toon, but not a requisite I'm a Smoggie!! View all feedback.

read moreThe Cresswell Arms is a local favorite, with a mix of good and not-so-good reviews. Some patrons have enjoyed the traditional pub grub and Sunday lunches reminiscent of home-cooked meals, while others have found the food lacking and unappetizing. The atmosphere seems hit-or-miss, with some patrons enjoying the friendly staff and karaoke nights, while others mention a lack of ambiance. The prices are very reasonable, and the outdoor seating offers a pleasant spot to enjoy a drink. Overall, if you're looking for a local bar experience with basic food offerings, the Cresswell Arms might be worth a visit.
A lovely coastal pub and well worth a visit the warm pork scratchings deffinately leg the drink go down well
