As soon as I saw this restaurant I knew I had to try it. I don't see a lot of Mexico City style food joints. I was raised in Mexico City so I know authentic food. I went in there without high expectations and I had to get the Pambazo, a D.F dish. Oh my gawd I was impressed! Sooo delicious . The chicken Tinga and their rice also amazing. They really know Mexico City cooking. Love it! I will be going back for more. I d... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Metro Balderas:
Very disappointed this time. They have good Gordita's here but these last few times have not been good. Usually they are crunchy like they just have been made. Since you do wait 20 min for hand made gorditas definitely worth it. This time and last time was very soggy and oily. Almost like they have been warmed up in the microwave. I wouldn't mind if they didn't make me wait 20 min for fresh gorditas. View all feedback.

Amazing authentic Mexican food. It's really hard to find good Mexican food in the Northridge area but this gem is thee spot. They specialize in Chilango food or Mexico City food. This is food that you might not have had before unless you're Mexican and around Mexico City. So it's a great spot if you wanna try something new. My husband got the gorditas. Comes with chicharrón, cheese and cream. Mind you, they are made to order from fresh masa and then deep fried so they do take about 15-20 min to make. For this reason I highly recommend you place the order on the phone so it's ready when you pick up. They were soooo good. I don't typically like chicharrón it's too fatty for me but this was perfect! The salsa verde pairs well with it because it cuts through everything so well. I had the pambaso. It's basically like a torta with granillos sauce that's pressed against the pan. The inside has chorizo and potato and comes with lettuce and cream. It's one of my fav for the holidays. It was so good. This place got packed with regulars so def be patient. The prices are also pretty good for the amount of food you get. Parking is hard to come by so Again I suggest ordering for pickup so you can just pop in and out without having to find parking. Over all, I love this spot. The workers are friendly, the food is great and the prices are right. Def recommend
I love all the food I always command to go! And it always tastes good after a cat. The gorditas de chicharrón are bomb I also enjoy the huaraches
