I love Indian food and this place has always some delicious vegan choices. they bake the naan for them as they order their food. my favorite is the aubergine dish and the garnozos. they can bring their own container when they order. I bring my own silver wear to save the planet from more stupid plastic, but since covid I prefer it. Many parking spaces. the market is great and cheap. they have tons of species and husk... I will first say that the India Sweets and Spices staff are friendly and colorful. The prices are amazing, there is a lot of parking, and the restaurant is located in a small market where you can use with the same ingredients to make everything that the chefs use on their menu. The food is amazing, but to my surprise the Indian priests discredit themselves and say that the Mexican chefs are to be thanked? The employees seem to be too pressing not to be credited. One thing is certain, the place must be cleaned frequently and is in desperate need of renovation. I had taken my order and decided to sit at her table where I had a flat-screen TV, it was a Bollywood movie, I could not enjoy it though, because I kept frozen. I didn't ask why the Indian staff seemed to be entertaining and I think that was typical. As soon as I got my order, I'll grab a plastic fork from the pile that's available for everyone to get, and it's greasy. I'm telling myself that someone must accidentally move the fork into the pile; it turns out that only India candy and spices that make them again to the costumers... not very well done, but I understood. I just have to say that I'm just there twice, and I'm probably taking them up on the lazy days that are Saturdays for me. I really wanted to love this place, but I won't come back.
I came here for lunch in January 2011 with a vegan friend and a vegetarian friend. There were three men working behind the counter. None spoke very good English. I asked the first, Which items do not have dairy? He said there were four, and then pointed to five items. He then quickly moved on to the next customer, so I had to ask the next gentleman what was vegan. He then pointed to some of the same items, and then one item which he said This is no milk, it has cheese and vegetables . And then he too moved on to the next customer! Finally, I was able to get one staff member to point out exactly which items were dairy free, but I felt like I was pulling teeth just to get that information! The food was cheap, but wasn 't very good. Four dollars and change for a big styrofoam plate full of nondescript, not very appetizing looking food. I work a mile away, but I don 't think I 'll be coming back any time soon.
This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the valley. The #1 special includes your choice of naan or chapati (freshly baked), white or yellow rice, and two vegetables from a selection of six. For just $6, you get a generous portion of food. I have been a loyal customer for a couple of years now, and this place feels like home to me. It may not be fancy, but it has character - it's an affordable cafeteria tucked away in the back of a grocery store. All the dishes are vegetarian and authentic. I have tried several Indian cafeteria-style restaurants in Los Angeles, but this one is my top choice. It is a family-owned business and the staff always greets me with a friendly attitude. The bread is made fresh to order and there are no meat dishes available. If you're looking for a great value and delicious vegetarian Indian food, this is the place to go.
This restaurant is conveniently located near my parents' house, and we always eat here whenever we visit. The house specialities (#2) are a must-try, but the potato-filled pastries and Sambal are also delicious. The food and atmosphere are very authentic, which may explain some of the negative reviews. If you enjoy an authentic dining experience, this is the perfect place for you. Last updated on December 26, 2021.
This restaurant is located conveniently by my parents' house, and we always pick up food (sometimes dine in) every time we visit. The plate specials (#2) are our favorite, but the dosas stuffed with potato and sambal are also delicious. The food and overall experience are very authentic, which may account for some of the negative reviews. If you appreciate an authentic dining experience, this is the perfect place for you.
