They do an excellent job with the meals they offer, and the prices are quite reasonable.
The employees aren't friendly or personable but the food they make makes up for it! Every time my family has gone there, we leave stuffed because even if we're full, we eat the rest of our food! It really does seem like homemade food. The prices are high, but again, for a treat a few times a year, the food makes it worth it.
I had a delicious cold cut wrap accompanied by a side of homemade potato chips, making for a satisfying lunch. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the chips. A place that appears so laid-back could easily take shortcuts, but they don’t. I also sampled their vegetarian chili on a chilly, rainy day, and it really hit the spot. There was just one guy managing the restaurant during lunchtime, handling both the counter and the grill. Despite the growing crowd, he maintained his composure and kept everything running smoothly, which I found quite impressive.
This is the cabin I stayed in at point lookout. It was amazing. Loved the homey country feel
