Well it is definitely one of those “ hole in the wall” places. The smell that surrounds this place just gives you a home feeling. The customer service is welcoming, all the staff has smiles! For the first time eating here I was impressed, not just by the staff. This was amazing food, very well prepared! The menu is a book long so lots of options. I had the pho and curry chicken, I ATE 2 FULL MEALS…
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine always seems to be hidden away in unexpected places. Located in a shopping center on 104th Street in Thornton, Saigon Basil is truly a gem. If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, you're missing out! I ordered the sesame chicken with steamed rice for lunch, along with a side of broccoli and a bowl of sweet and sour soup. The sauce for the sesame chicken was different from what I anticipated, but even better than I expected. The flavors were outstanding. Although there were some language barriers, the staff were extremely friendly, and everything was served hot and fresh. I highly recommend Saigon Basil.
This place has good Vietnamese food. Like most Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant the menu is very overwhelming. We ordered the Vietnamese squid salad, which is very tasty, it has all the traditional veggies mixed with raw squid. Their Pho was good also but it could have mixed review due to us seeing a few customers not really liking it. Lastly we ordered sautéed beef with lemongrass. Overall a good experience, my only ask is PLEASE HAVE BETTER TASTING WATER! if you’re in the area and craving some Vietnamese food. Give this place a try.
I can't believe I've never eaten here! What I was waiting for in the world. I feel like part of my life was wasted because of all the fine meals I missed. I'm hanging my head in Disgrace.
My favorite spot for Pho, coconut water, and Vietnamese coffee is fantastic. My grandchildren absolutely love it here, especially the Boba drinks. I have other family friends who are also hooked on this place. I came here when I was looking for relief for the radiation on my neck, and the Pho really helped me feel better. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant is clean and beautiful, particularly during the Christmas season.
