Delicious butter croissant, a very different blueberry muffin, not mushy and oversweetened, but crispy and delicious. All home baked, huge selection. Good coffee, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Really great. View all feedback.
What Kathie Smestad doesn't like about Brick Oven Bakery:
Was difficult to find the entrance here. Enter from the parking lot and you'll find a door in the middle of the building. Smell of fresh baked goods here is AMAZING! People need to temper their frustration over cost with value of quality...my wife and I are in our mid 60's and for more than 25 years we've seen the many evolutionary changes concerning this issue, especially in the food industry. Brick Oven provides us achoice between, healthy and fun food, well prepared over mass produced items. My suggestion to people who critique this, need toeither adjust their spending behavior to enjoy a great experience, or go to Walmart and by a loaf of Wonderbread. Travel toEurope and you'll appreciate what Brick Oven comes close to offering in baked goods. Thank you staff of Brick Oven
Such a treasure for Northfield. The. Best breads and the Carmel rolls are just amazing. I could go on and on. Do not pass by on Hwy 3 you will regret it!!
I'm drawn here because their baked items are made fresh each day and handcrafted breads and pastries without preservatives. That?s remarkable in today?s world. You can pick up day old baked items at reduced prices; but I prefer to go early and buywhat?s fresh out of the oven. Nothing tastes as good as that. It?s nice for lunches, too. The Café Selection, especiallysandwiches, use the bread they make and fill them with tasty combinations. It?s an ideal spot to take your children, catch upwith friends, or as I do, host a business coffee, and/or often get something to go. Check out the community table ? it reallyshows great support and loyalty to local residents. The pastry section, since I am such a scone connoisseur, is my favorite. There is no missing the ?just baked? flavor that makes them worth the calories. Every time I?m there I see people buying theircaramel nut rolls ? only my mom?s recipe beats them ????. There are made with lots of butter and are chucked full of caramel. While you can purchase them with without nuts, we prefer the nut version. It?s also very nice that these and many other itemsre for sale and in both mini and large sizes. The staff are vey friendly, this is something that I find is more common in smalltowns. I enjoy the chat about menu options, how the food is made, the baking schedule, and why they are so proud of theircoffee. Check out this video where I?m filming, and the bakers are so pleasant and waving so friendly. It's a easy to go placefor people with wheelchairs. You can enter in the back parking lot and not have to deal with any stair steps or ramp.

Did get a deliciousbaguette that was wonderfully crunchy on the outside with a soft, delicious interior. One of the best baguettes we've evereaten! Will definitely return for croissants and quiche! Little spendier than we would have thought however, the quality iswell worth it.
