We stopped here for lunch while visiting the nearby Hagley Museum. It is apparently one of several in the Wilmington area. It has a cute name and the sandwiches are named after dog breeds (no cats). There is ample seating inside and out; most of the patio is in full sun. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato bisque; my wife had the Cocker Spaniel vegetarian sandwich. The food came out very quickly and tasted a... View all feedback.
What Goddess Shannon doesn't like about Purebread Deli:
Not spending the same amount for a mushroom or grilled cheese as i would for chicken or beef. It is sad that this restaurant continues to take advantage of customers eating preferences. Cleary a stacked sandwich full of meat and the little grilled cheese with a verrry small amount of mushrooms are not the same. Staff is nice but does not make up for prices. Don't even get fresh cut chips you get a bag of chips I can... View all feedback.
Employees are very sweet. I usually place an order to go and it is immediately done! I once dropped a note and an employee followed me out to return it to me. Food is healthier than other places. Love the muffins. My go to is the Chihuahua which has chicken. The owners are great friends with my brother. Love the magnets and the Catholic references. Regardless of your background, this place is very welcoming and friendly.
Their grilled cheese is excellent. The tomato soup had too much sugar in it, and I have to be careful with sugar.
Great place for a quick bite. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!!
If you think this place is pet friendly because they support animal shelters and stuff but I went with my dachshund who is a support animal certified by my doctor, but not an animal service and I sat outside. Ok, that is fine, but at least don’t need to be so rude and not even offering a bowl of water for my pet. If you support animals at least be more kind and offer some comfort otherwise is pure marketing. Food quality is amazing but not a place to come with a pet. Just keep that in mind when you are looking for pet friendly places in Delaware. I came here because on google maps when you google “pet friendly restaurants near me”, this place shows up. When you check their menu, it will make you think they are but they are not. Not coming back because I didn’t feel welcome at all not even by sitting outside with a pet.
Always order takeout, but in-store eating always noticed (seems like a convenient spot to have lunch with friends). Nice variety of fresh sandwiches, salads and soups. Breakfast menu looks good but have yet to try.
