What User doesn't like about City Garden Chinese Restaurant:
the staff was incredibly rude manager called us when we waited for dinner after an hour, we said we would pay for what we received, but were rated before the whole restaurant! need a lection in customer service! was paid for eating that we never forgot and was much overpriced for what we ordered and it was just bone! the hand was pushed into the face when the waiter asked where the food was! will tell everyone friend... It was the best Chinese meal I have had the service was great, cleanliness top class. We are from Victoria and it's been a lot of years since we had such great food and variety of meals
I went there several times with my friends and the food was always delicious. Anytime we are in Northbridge and we need something good we definitely choose City Garden. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Always happy to come back there!!!
Go there if you are after some authentic comfort food. Love their rice porridge range. Some great dishes, deep-fried, braised, blanched and stir-fried. Quant little restaurant, down a narrow alleyway with outdoor dining & gas heater decked around in the colder month.It's not a high-class restaurant, space is a bit cramp & tight but go there for authenticity, not style/class.
Been to this restaurant many times - the menu is full of nice yummy food; never been disappointed with any food we have ordered. From the outside, it appears to be a small restaurant but there is additional seating upstairs. Try their Singaporean Chilli Prawn, Japanese Sizzling Tofu, Pork Brisket with Preserved Veggies, etc.
