The Windhover
Description
Windhover has established itself as a cherished venue, especially for couples and families celebrating milestones. With varied seating options and attentive staff, it promises a welcoming atmosphere. Many diners reminisce fondly about past visits, noting the restaurant’s charm and the quality of the food. However, recent feedback reflects some inconsistencies; while some patrons enjoyed delightful meals and exceptional service, others faced issues with food temperature and order accuracy. Despite these discrepancies, the overall ambience remains inviting, making it a spot to consider for gatherings, albeit with cautious optimism regarding culinary consistency.

Super pub and restaurant. personal in order. on a Saturday evening, 3 of the main dishes were sold out at 8-30 o'clock. prices ok and eat very well.
I had made a booking for a table on October 20th, this was confirmed by email and a reminder appeared later. at the arrival in windhover there was no trace of my booking. no real problem, as there was a lot of space, but still irritating, as I had made the booking. the food was good and fulfilled our expectations.
A beautiful restaurant that we prepared a few years ago there very well, so it has very special memories! varied sitting opportunities, so it is perfect for couples, small and large groups. good menu and very helpful staff to ask for food. allergies.
This restaurant has a great atmosphere with a good energy. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My partner's dish came out cold and my steak was cooked 'blue' instead of medium rare as requested. We had to wait around 20 minutes for a replacement beef bourguignon, but there was no offer to recook my steak, so I didn't eat it. Our waitress was excellent but seemed overwhelmed with complaints from other tables and was offering refunds, though not to us.
