Sushi Moto is a highly recommended spot for Japanese dishes outside downtown Toronto. The comfortable atmosphere and quick service make it a great option for travelers. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, with highlights like Spicy Tuna Salad and California Maki. While some found the prices high, the quality of the food and service was consistently good. Overall, Sushi Moto is a great choice for a satisfying meal in North York, especially for sushi lovers looking for fresh and flavorful options.

We golfed close by so we went to try this place out. Wow! We had superb food and the service was really excellent. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.

Bento prices are different between lunch and dinner. I would recommend lunch here. Dinner is expensive for this neighbourhood.

We recently went to Sushi Moto prior to seeing a play at the nearby North York Centre for the Performing Arts, This is a perfect location for a pre-theatre dinner. The decor is modern; our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We ordered a small sashimi. It was presented in a wooden boat. The fish was very fresh. If a group of people come to dine, there is a large selection of sake by the bottle. We will be back.

On a friends' recommendation, we chose to pick up a mid-week dinner at Sushi Moto. We start w. their Miso Soup ($1.95), quite flavourful without being overly salty. Their Spicy Tuna Salad (#11 - $12.95), composed of tuna sushi placed on a bed of lettuce and topped w. red beet and carrot spirals was fresh, refreshing and a real treat on a Summer's Eve. Ditto for their Avocado salad (#3 - $5.95). Followed by California Maki (#9 - $6.95) a well-executed rendition of this standard offering. Their spicy kamikaze special maki (#12 - $11.95) which next to the Spicy Tuna was one my favourite dishes. With tuna, crunch (I suspect panko crumbs), spicy mayo inside w. avocado on top.A pretty hearty dinner for four was $93.11 w. tax. Moto Sushi offers a 10% discount if you pay cash.

This was my first time at this restaurant and the staff was very attentive and very helpful. They were able to give me suggestions on the large menu. Everything I tried was great. I would definitely come back if I am in town again. Would definitely recommend. Great prices for delicious sushi.
