Love Pho 88 best pho in the city. I love the pho here. On a cold day pho is perfect for lunch or dinner. The soup, beef and noodles are cooked to perfection. I used to go to the chinatown location a lot when I was living in downtown but this don mills location is close to my work so it's even better for me. Service is great, food is awesome and it even has free wifi. I highly recommend it. View all feedback.
What Channing M doesn't like about Pho 88 Restaurant:
We have eaten here in many occasions over many years and when we arrived tonight at 849pm, the server said “we are closed”. We said, “you are open until 9pm!” And she kept saying “we are closed”. This is incredible considering that the restaurant had patrons sitting at empty tables still waiting for their food, yet we were turned away.We will not go back agaIn. Lost us as repeat customers. Love the menu. Cant get enough of the famous satay broth! A must try!
Great Atmosphere, Friendly Service, A Unique Menu And Great Food!
I ordered the small bowl of Chicken Pho, something that I don’t usually order at Vietnamese restaurants because I usually prefer the beef pho. The Chicken Pho was pretty good. I really liked the skinny and soft pho noodles. I liked the hot brothy soup too.
I'm going to keep this review short and sweet. At this particular Pho 88 location, the layout is modern, clean and spacious. You don't feel cluttered and steamy as you would in a regular Pho joint. Where you can hear slurping of soup n noodles literally right over your shoulder. The menu is simple no bells or whistles but the basic staples are found inside. The pho is decent, fresh and soup comes out piping hot which is a must. The rice and grilled meet was excellent as the bbq lemongras is intense! It lingered on my palate in the most delightful way. Would I be back? Definitely if I was in the area and craved Vietnamese delights!
Food is good. But if you're not Asian, they pretty much ignore you. They systematically take Asian customers' orders first, and then they take yours. Even if you came in first.
