I was so very sad to read on the website that Net Effect has closed. I had not been there for a very long time, but I had spent many overnights there while I was having living arrangement issues. Highly recommend this place. Great computers that can run any games basically with ease with good FPS. Ping is amazing inbetween 20-30. And the internet speed is decently fast enough at 25mb or so. The environment itself is clean and well maintain by the owner who himself was just as great. Prices are well fitted for what you are getting as well. Perfect place to do some LAN with friends, or run a few games and meet some new people.
I came to Mike for advice with a problem I was having with upgrading my desktop (a well known local computer parts outlet had sold me a bad graphics card and it was taking me a long time to isolate the problem). Mike has an expert's knowledge of computers and of gaming systems. He provided expert advice when I was going crazy and could not obtain informed help anywhere else. I cannot thank him enough.

Open, clean space with great new computers. It's quiet, everything works well and the price is right at $4 per hour. The guy running the place is professional. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The computers at the library are ok, but they don't always have the most up to date version of the software you need, so this is my go to place when the free library is not doing it for me.
I wanted a place to set up a little LAN gaming get-together with some old friends (4 of us) to re-live our wild LAN party days. Hah. My first impression: clean, spacious, smelled great! The dude working there was very down to earth and easy going. Helped us get set up, and didn 't start our time until we had everything organized. Thought that was really nice of him. My mouse showed signs of wear but I never felt like things were dirty or sticky . Their computers were stocked, updated, and ran smoothly in every game we played! (Left4Dead and Co mostly). My experience at Net Effect was extremely positive and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a LAN Party. Thanks Net Effect for such a great time!
