You get free wifi here, relatively spacious seats, and a bell service at your table to ring for your server. Unlike most other bubble tea shops like Green Grotto or Destiny’s, the restaurant has really dim lighting inside so it’s more conducive to people wanting to hang out instead of studying. We were here for dinner the night before and had a good dinner experience. We were surprised with the good spacious restaurant which does not look like it from the outside. We would have liked the lighting to have been a little bit more inside.<br/ <br/ For drinks we had a jasmine green tea and almond milk green tea with tapioca pearls. Both were the hot ones and we loved it.<br/ <br/ For dinner we had a grilled salmon with rice, diced chicken in kung pao style and diced chicken with mushroom curry. Both the chicken dishes are main courses and they come with a choice of soup and rice. The soup that we got was corn and pork with vegetables. We had no complaints with dinner. The portion sizes were good enough for 1 and the chicken was cooked well. <br/ <br/ The only thing that we would have liked better was for the water we asked for water for the table and didn't receive it at all.
Following the day's intense walking adventure, I suggested dropping by Go For Tea to refuel. To my surprise, the Scarborough location was even larger and grander than their now-shuttered Richmond Hill spot. <br/ <br/ We chanced upon their Afternoon Tea Time Special, which was a two-part combo that included two snacks and 50% off any of their drinks. The portions were relatively substantial, making it a great pre-dinner option.
When all else fails around the area and im hungry, Go For Tea is my go to. It is somewhat decently priced, you get seated quickly (as long as you dont come after dinner hours), and the food comes rather quickly. I usually get the popcorn chicken on rice and a hot taro milk tea. The chicken portion is way more than enough for me it is a pretty good portion, as it does come with couple of 'appetizers ' usually a springroll cut into 3 pieces and a side veg. I dont tend to sit around and chit chat here as most people seem to enjoy doing. I am usually in and out within an hour. And if its closer to dinner time, it can get pretty loud and I dont quite enjoy that kind of atmosphere.<br/ <br/ I have no complaints about this place. I think the food both quality and quantity are worth the price you pay, as well as for the amount of service. The staff here are pretty friendly. It is what it is a bubble tea place, really.<br/ <br/ <br/
This is a very spacious, modernly decorated place to drink bubble tea and hang out. It was not too busy the few times I've been there, and not too noisy so you can have conversation with your friends. The booths are super comfy and far away enough from other booths/tables so you get some privacy. Additionally, the staff were around but not constantly bugging you, so you don't feel rushed and can stay as long as you'd like.<br/ <br/ The selection of food and drink items is huge. I cannot comment on the food, as I've only had the teas, which were flavourful. Overall, it's a relaxing place to chill and I would definitely return if I'm in the area.
The inside of the place is HUGE!! And they have a really big menu as well. It is a great place to go with your friends at any time of day. They also have free wifi if you plan on going to lounge or study. Tried the shrimp satay udon noodles, which were pretty decent, loved the shitake mushrooms in them. Also all their milk-iced teas are amazing, my personal favourites are honeydew or peach. I highly recommend getting tapioca in your drink when they give you the option, makes it so much better. The prices are great but do keep in mind if you go at night on a weekend you’ll have to wait a bit for a table.
