Really nice, small Ethiopian vegan cafe serving options of 6 different dishes, along with rice or injera. You can order a selection of 3, 4 or 5 of the dishes.....I went for 5 as I couldn't choose! Very relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff, will be going back soon to help support this new cafe, which is only 4 weeks old. Updated from previous review on 2018-01-22 View all feedback.
What Lola Clark doesn't like about Engocha:
we have engocha as takeway. it was nice rustic Ethiopian eating, but the portions were a bit small and tasty, it is not the best example of Ethiopian food in the offer. we go there much to buy injera for when we cook Ethiopian and unfortunately they cannot buy, they need to buy 3 at a time that we have to throw away at the end and it is packed into a lot of unnecessary plastic. For fast meal and was very surprised how good it was. Ethiopian foods made with fresh ingredients. beautiful place with fast service.
I love Ethiopian food and Engocha does it well. This place is great for a quick bite.
First time trying Ethiopian food, I was in the area look for something to eat before I started work. I did not regret it, even if I did get all yellow food. It was very yummy!
One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. Enjoyed the lentils, spinach, green beans, and chickpeas. Had a lovely chat with the owners too
Eating in engocha is full of taste and the people behind is welcoming and hard working.
