Beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. Not fussy, covered style. Friendly staff

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty. Although the restaurant was quiet at first due to the early hour, it later became busier as more patrons arrived.

I have been visiting Drummond Street for many years, but had never been to Chutneys before. Their lunch veggie buffet was absolutely excellent, featuring a variety of styles and ingredients. It was great value for money and the service was top-notch.

I dined here today with my father on March 26, 2023. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience! We have been coming here for 15 years, but we have not visited in a few years. In the past, they used to offer great food, variety, and value with their lunch buffet. However, today my father had the vegetarian buffet and I ordered lamb samosas, chicken coconut curry, and rice. Sadly, all three of my dishes were bland, uninspired, and lacked flavor. My father felt the same way about his meal. Even the poppadoms were stale. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. I suggest avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

The food was absolutely wonderful Really recommend the beetroot and coconut samosas and the bell puri as starters and the chana Dahl and monkfish were delicious. Staff were really kind and helpful The decor was a bit tired and old and the white ceramic serving bowls didn't really work, the food spilled out of them It's bring your own booze. We had to ask for water on the table a couple of times. But they were quite busy so that's ok Toilets were clean but absolutely freezing But again that's ok I know times are hard for restaurants. Really recommend Value is excellent
