The Dolphin Fish - North Warwickshire

An absolutely disgraceful place. After advertising that they are open until 8PM and taking my money for food at 7.35PM they told me that they close at 7PM except for take out. As I explained had this been advertised correctly I would have come in earlier but as I do not live in Atherstone I could not take the food out so had to cancel the order. This was wholly unnecessary as they had seating available and an open door til 8PM so why not allow me to eat the food for which I had paid ?

Can't fault the food or service here but unfortunately it's now so hideously expensive and an additional 10% surcharge for eating in make it a very costly choice which, for me hurts its rating as it really can't be described as good value for money, it's a shame as it could easily be a five, I know fish is expensive but the sundries really aren't.

This chip shop is probably the best chip shop I have ever been to. The hygiene is a standard that I have never seen before. The quality of food is consistent every visit. Highly recommend here for fish n chips. Easily 5
