This Mexican restaurant surprised me with its flavor and quality. I was so happy when I saw they brought out white sauce with their chips and salsa! The chicken was moist and had an amazing charbroiled signature flavor. The onions and peppers were cooked very well and the rice and beans were flavorful with just the right amount of salt. Staying at the hotel next door so convenience was the name of the game but was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, service quick and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Their chips are fresh and crispy and their white “secret sauce” delicious. I asked about it but was told it was secret and my waiter didn’t know the ingredients. The taco salad was really good too. Chicken cooked nicely. The reason for 4 instead of 5 star is that the sour cream and guac were already in the salad as were the refried beans. The sour cream had broken and the base of the taco shell was quite soggy as a result of all the sauces. The food was hot and delicious so I can’t knock them more than that.
Great trash can nachos. Huge portions. Also got the quesadilla Texans which was delicious and shrimp and crab dip.
Gran Rodeo is Fabulous!!! The food is always great. Tonight our server was Kayn pronounced Kane. He was such a great waiter. He was always smiling, checked in with us often and was happy to serve us. We come here often and never had a bad experience. Fair prices.
This place has some really bomb Mexican food!! I’m from the south where Mexican food is plentiful but not so much up north, but I finally found a good one! We started with margaritas, and the queso, and for entrée I got the carne asada. 10/10 would recommend!Vegetarian options: So many vegetarian options on the menu!Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids were there!Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps and the entire establishment is one story
The food is average although my family loves it (but I think it is because there is just so much cheese on everything and who hates cheese). I think there are better Tex Mex options. The service is good enough but not anything stunning. The atmosphere is super family friendly so I do recommend this as a family restaurant but if going for drinks you might be a disappointed. They do have an outdoor area which we didn't use but looks nice.
