Stopped in for lunch because it was handy to where we were. I was completely surprised by the superior quality and interesting takes on Japanese standards. Their Gomae is excellent, using black sesame and, as far as I can tell, no tahini. Unique flavour and very good. Their tempura is spectacular, and the variety and quality of their rolls is top notch. What User doesn't like about Sushi Mori:
We went to the new location in Surrey and the food was good and solid but I wouldn't say great. It has both Japanese and Korean food (as w/ many Japanese restaurants, it's owned by Koreans). It was good for a large party (we had reservations for 13) and the wait staff was nice. There was large quantity so good if you're hungry but it's not nuanced or striving for great food. Good solid Japanese/Korean restaurant. View all feedback.

I’m visiting from Ontario & have a lot of experience with sushi. The portion sizes are great, the quality is amazing, and the service is fast & responsive. This level of freshness is unheard of in Ontario & i had a great lunch + dinner over the last two days.
After exploring Capilano suspension bridge park, we'd worked up quite the appetite and had a desire for sushi. What joy we had to discover that there was a place just a 15-20 minute walk from the main entrance! If there happens to be a bus passing, it's just a stop or two away. The restaurant itself was remniscent of traditional Japanese sushi restaurants. The sushi was delicious - fresh and very tasty, with some interesting combinations. There was a huge variety of different rolls and dishes on the menu, as well as many Korean dishes, and enjoyed everything that we ordered. Exactly what we had in mind, and friendly service to boot. Would definitely recommend for sushi lovers visiting North Vancouver. It also seemed very popular for take away, as many people came to collect their orders whilst we dined.
We visited here after walking around the dam area. Nice little place for sushi. The rolls were great and there was a large selection of fish and rolls. It's definitely a mom & pop place so please be patience, because it is worth the wait.
Small traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. Eat in or takeaway. Just like in Japan. Recommended place for home orders.
