Nut Tree Cafe - North Vancouver

We're vegetarians so it's nice to go somewhere where we can eat absolutely everything on the menu. They have some very interesting probiotic beverages here, not just your average kombucha. I was impressed by the knowledge this owner obviously has of her products. I had a seaweed rejuvalat (sp?), it was quite delicious. I also had a sandwich which was a really unique and made to order. It had beetroot, sauerkraut, 1 different nut cheeses, and quite a few other choices in it. It was absolutely delicious and I had to go back a few days later to have it again. It was $9 for the sandwich and all the ingredients organic, and made right there. I bought a tiny bottle of coconut probiotic beverage for $7 and took it home. Boy did this stuff do me good! She made that as well. The only thing is that you have to wait awhile for the food since it's made to order one plate at a time. Also, not everything was great, we had a caesar salad that was literally drenched in dressing, that was not good, so maybe don't have that. Worth a check out though, especially if you're vegetarian or vegan.

Yummy home made meals, clean space, and a very good menu. Will come back. We had the lentil soup, mushroom soup and avocado sandwich. Much yums!

I love this restaurant. It has clean, welcoming, artist feel. The food is amazing and all gluten and vegan. Even if you are a meat eater, you will appreciate the healthy, hearty meals that are offered. I recommend trying it.It is close to Maplewood Farms and the Hive North Shore.

I stopped into this café for breakfast and I should note that I am not a vegetarian or a vegan. I asked them for a breakfast recommendation and they gave me a bowl of delicious homemade granola in almond milk with a sliced banana topped with a spoonful of homemade berry jam. It was sooooo good!! It will be my regular breakfast spot from now on!!

I absolutely adore everything about this restaurant! The cleanliness is top-notch, the service is friendly, and the food is both healthy and delicious. They offer a wide selection of homemade yogurt drinks and kefirs.
