What User doesn't like about Montgomery's Fish & Chips:
I'm not a fish eater, but I do like chips and usually fish and chip shops have great fries. Unfortunately that was not the case with this shop. They were home fries and were cooked fresh, but they seemed rubbery and tasteless. A good chip doesn't require much more than a light sprinkle of salt, but I had to douse these in ketchup and vinegar to get them down. In retrospect I should've tried the burger shop next door... Arrived hungry after a long day. Not a fan of "food court" foods but I make a couple of exceptions at the Quay and this is one. For a change I tried the prawns and chips - yum - six large juicy battered prawns cooked to perfection. Way too many fries, of course, but did finish them all with lots of malt vinegar. If you're lucky and it's a fine day you may be able to find a table outside and watch the world go by. View all feedback.

read moreMontgomery's Fish and Chips in Vancouver's White Rock area offers a mixed dining experience. While some appreciate the crispy, flavorful fish and crunchy chips, others find the high prices, greasiness, or lack of quality to be disappointing. The halibut nugget special is a standout dish, appealing to those who appreciate fresh, hot, and well-seasoned fish. The cozy deli-like atmosphere is perfect for a quick lunch, especially for families on a budget. Despite mixed reviews, Montgomery's remains a popular choice in the lower mainland for its classic take on fish and chips.
