Had a nice dinner in front of a show in the separate theater - more comfortable dinner, as it is next door! The restaurant was busy, had a happy atmosphere, but was not too loud. The meals were delicious, no complaints, and I especially enjoyed the drinks. We had a Lychee rose water and an apple drink, both were beautiful (Lychee, my favorite). Expired both the entrees and the network. The atmosphere was stylish, rel... View all feedback.
What Anika Bernhardt doesn't like about Simple + Irresistible:
They have lunch specials for around $12 which are your rice with chicken/beef/vegies, etc. On top of that, for sit in diners, there is an extended menu with fish, pork belly, starters, curries and other traditional thai choices like pad thai, etc..On this occasion, I tried the jungle curry which was spicy yet bland. I could taste that the chicken was once frozen and it lacked any depth. I was disappointed however my... View all feedback.
People are going to think my reviews of this place are like a yo yo! Simple and Irresistible is *back* to being a typical Thai restaurant, with a few
Stumbled on this place recently after a failed attempt at a nearby restaurantWowa real hidden gem! The food and the service was amazing.
Nicknamed the $4 Thai by my relations (a chicken satay main with rice costing this much), this restaurant's main attraction could be it's brilliant prices,
Have attracted lunch today and ordered Tom Yum with shrimps, Pad Thai and green curry with chicken. We also tried her garlic bread because it is a bit unusual for this type of restaurant to serve on the menu. Overall, the food was good, really good, actually, and the place was also cozy, though it is a bit more like a cafe than a casual restaurant. It was compared to the part. Customer service was not friendly and so intrusive, what regret me to choose this place for lunch
Went with a big work group, a bit further up the hill then the North Sydney business centre, but the hike was worth it (the weather was nice too which made it quite pleasant). It was a little hard to spot the place from the road, the name sign was very small & on a corner post next to the door, there were also flower/scrub beds surrounding the building/restaurant from the street, you really have to know the place it's there to find it. Once inside, it's a nicely decorated space, with comfy couches in the middle, it feels more like a cafe then a Thai restaurant. The food took a little bit of time & came in drips, there were a few other large groups as well, but they were delicious. Everyone thought their meals tasted great, from the standard chicken pad Thai, massaman curry, roti, pad si ew, kee mao, to the special requests for vegetarian, halal, & no seafood. The only negative we all agreed on was the amount of meat/prawns/tofu they give you in the dish, for my $15.50 "prawn" kee mao there were only 3 prawns, it was the same for the "prawn" fried rice, and not much more for the chicken/beef dishes. Overall, still a nice change from the hassle bustles of the standard North Sydney lunch options.
