Cariola - North Perth
Cariola
Description
At Cariola, diners encounter a blend of experiences that highlight both strengths and weaknesses. While the atmosphere is intimate and the staff is notably friendly, the food quality has drawn mixed reviews. Many enjoy the pasta offerings, particularly the wagyu ravioli and seafood options, though some find them overpriced and lacking depth of flavor. The absence of online reservation options is a recurring frustration for patrons. Despite these critiques, excellent service stands out, creating a warm dining experience. For those seeking a casual pasta night, Cariola remains a contender, albeit with room for improvement.
Feedback
My family and I wife and two children over 10) have been to Cariola twice. The first time was very average but I think it's only fair to give a place a second chance as we all have bad days. The second time was just as bad as the first, they mainly serve pasta.I love a seafood pasta with minimal sauce which is why I chose the marinara, the other dishes were two sauce based and one carbonara. For a place that specialises mainly in pasta it really is below average, you might get a better meal at pastacup
Still one of the best pastas in town. Friendly staff too. Don 't know what some people are nagging about not being 'Italian enough '... A delicious pasta doesn 't necessarily mean Authentic Italian and vice versa. I had horrible pastas in Italy myself. if you want Authentic Italian, go to Italy.
Forgot to make photos, was just fun at the place. we have booked a table and were there on time. the staff is very friendly, especially when entering the restaurant. small and intimate. a clear booking is essential. we had pumpkin ravioli, waygu bark meat ravioli, chilimuscheln (yum). sorbet and cappuccinos. byo had a nice meal from all.
