absolutely top place for eating and service. the prices are also appropriate. I should have taken pictures. the sbruschetta with arancini as a deer and barramundi main (especially the day) was for the perfect menu to die. delicious dishes and generously presented. we would have ordered the dessert, but had to go. the staff surprised us when they gave my brother a birthday present! highly recommended and will return.... I came special for the middle week, and there was a good choice of four pastas and various drinks. the meatballs were in order, a generous part and great beer. the gelato was generously dimensioned and tasty, although my friend ordered a gf pasta and immediately knew that it was not gf and sent it back. they treated it well and replaced it in record time, with beautiful employees and service. Previously visited tonight for the first time was eating delicious and very good service, I was in a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meal, with 2 of our party saying that the spaghetti misto stute was the best they had ever eaten, my steak was boiled to perfection would go definitiw again
I don't remember, ever one 1st this place is not authentic for me (from Italian origin.) that was eating bland, gloomy ok. I have to say the service under the average and then insulting injuries accuses not paying when I left. ruckus immediately treated himself, but the whole experience we poor. I only rarely do that.
Was recommended to this lovely restaurant by an Italian couple. Came in on a Tuesday night thinking we would easily get a table without reservation but I was wrong, they were fully booked but luckily we went early so they could squeeze us in. They had pasta special for only 15 bucks on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. We decided to try out the special menu of the day and ordered seafood risotto and gnocchi, for starters we had chilli mussel and platter for two, for dessert we had tiramisu. Everything was amazing except the gnocchi was quite chewy which is not we preferred.
If you’re remotely a fan of piccolo trattoria in shenton park, you’re probably going to love its ‘sister’ restaurant Ilaria on the corner of buzzing Angove street. Came as a group for dinner on a Friday night and Ilaria was packed with diners. For entrees we ordered Calamari fritti (very good) Gamberi pangrattato (tasty). For mains we tried the Seafood pasta (tasty, pasta was homemade), Fish of the day (very fresh), Porcini mushroom Risotto (very good), Osso buco (tasty), Grilled baby goat chops (very nice) and a surprisingly delicious Greek salad to share. Food was very fresh, flavoursome, came out at a good pace and portions were very generous. Ambience was great, service was...read more
